Small place with amazing ramen.
This place is amazing! It’s a one woman show. She makes the most amazing “paitan” ramen—the Kyoto version of tonkatsu ramen. The proprietor is so gracious and welcoming. Cool capsule machines outside too!
A lovely hidden gem. It's a small family run shop serving very good ramen at reasonable prices. The lady who runs the place is also very friendly. Worth a visit. I had their kare ramen which what's very good.
This place is a small family run ramen shop that is absolutely delicious and very inexpensive! The hostess was incredibly friendly despite not speaking English, is not they have an English menu so to help with the language gap. This place the perfect spot to end the night after visiting the Fushimi Inari shrine.
This place is a little hidden gem. If you're in Kyoto and see this place, do yourself a favour & go in. You'll be greeted with a smile. If you're nervous because you don't speak Japanese, they have an English menu and the lady who runs the place knows basic English to make you feel comfortable. We ordered 2 different ramen and the gyoza. They were the best yet in Japan. In my opinion. Just wonderful and it was very affordable for the quality & size of the dishes. Very happy with this place. Will definitely be going back!!
Very good ramen. I had their charsiu shoyu ramen and it was delicious. One of the best. Their gyoza too is delicious. The two ladies running it, a pretty young lady and a slightly older lady were both very friendly and helpful. Speak English.
Absolutely delicious. I would give it a 6 out of 5.very good service and very friendly hosts. The place is very popular and line to get in is very long. We stood in the rain for 20 minutes and it was all worth it.
While on vacation in Japan, we wanted to try some authentic ramen and were looking for the perfect place. We found this restaurant near where we were staying, and decided to have dinner here. The lady who was serving us was very friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Of course, the food tasted delicious, and I could tell it was very traditional Japanese ramen. However, the restaurant is quite small, so expect wait times. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the Kyoto (Inari) area!
Best ramen we had in Japan in our month-long stay. Super friendly lady-owner-cook!
This was the best ramen ive ever had! Highly reccomend the soy sauce based one. Also yummy gyoza. Friendly and efficient service
Super friendly staff, great prices, english menu. Highly recommend!
Soy sauce ramen was really delicious.I ordered soy sauce flavored ramen with chashyu(pork) It was really tasty and cheap. The owner is also nice and friendly.I’m sure I’ll go there again when I visit Kyoto next time :)
Amazing 700 yen ramen after climbing Mt. Inari! The food tasted like a home cooked meal and was very delicious. And the kind lady running the place gave us candy afterwards!
This is the best ramen Ive ever had. Ever. Not only is it run by a wonderful couple in the luch hours, the lady does all the service by herself in the dinner hours. The Gyoza is amazing. I first had some in 2015 and have been coming back from CANADA to her ever since. Even if it is out of my way. Would highly recommend the shoyu.
Maan oh maan... this place is great. 3rd week into our holiday I didn't expect to be impressed by ramen... I was wrong for measly 700 yen prepare to blow your socks off. Place is great so is the owner. Try it no regrets!!
Mom and pop shop! Cash only. Saw them cooking the pork broth... excellent ramen. Pork broth very silky, creamy, and flavorful. Greta price for touristy area. They don't speak English but have English menus. Small place, great for quick bite.
The Kare ramen (which is & Kyoto style light ramen in a Japanese curry soup) was packed with flavour & so yummy & tasty. The gyoza is also very good & the prices are really reasonable. You also have to try the Sake here as it is brewed locally in Fushimi & has a light plum flavour (not too sweet or bitter, just right). I totally recommend you go there. The atmosphere is really relaxing & customer service welcoming/friendly. They also have a English menu.
Good ramen and I liked that I could see how my ramen noodles were cooked in front of of me.
Minced Pork entree is worth try. Shoryu Ramen was the best. The owners are so lovely, very polite and we both had a lot of fun trying to speak each other's language.
really kind people
The ramen was delicious! The woman was so kind, she even gave us coffe with ice and a candy :)
Best ramen we had in Japan so far! They are so kind and also gave us ice cream for free, definitely a must after going to Fushimi Inari :)
Sooooo goood!!! Best ramen i had so far ❤Recommending the Miso ramen!
Absolutely wonderful, small ramen place (16 seats). Very attentive and they have an English menu.
This was the first ramen we had in Japan and one of the best we had. The owner is very kind, and they have english menu. Very good price (700 yen) for an amazing and delicious ramen. We also had the gyoza, absoluely perfect. Highly recommended!
Great ramen, very friendly place.
Was there on the 15th and honestly have never tasted better ramen!! I had the kyoto style ramen and was sensational!!! The broth was unforgettable, I'll honestly be returning to kyoto just for this. Staff were lovely and very understanding as we didn't speak a word of Japanese can't speak highly enough of here
Delicious ramen! Great ambience. Fair price. Honestly, if you like good ramen and gyozas you can trust you won’t be disappointed. Fantastic local place !
Tried all the Ramen and Gyoza they are Perfect!! One thing noticeable is their ramen has less flavorings vs. Ippudo and ramenagi and other famous ramen places. Hiroko the owner prepares the food and adda the personal touch with her terrific charisma! When in kyoto eat here!
We were on our way back from Fushimi Inari shrine and in the mood for gyoza and luckily chose this restaurant. I ended up getting two orders of gyoza and my wife got ramen, and both were delicious. The staff was extremely friendly. The location is great too. Very close to Fushimi Inari and right next to the train station.
So good! It's a 2-3 minutes walk from the Fushimi Inari Shrine. The shoyu ramen and the curry ramen were so good. Best ramen so far in Kyoto! ^^ And the prices are very good (700 Yen)! (Shoyu ramen in the picture)
Absolutely fantastic. The ramen is the best I’ve had in Japan, the gyoza is succulent, and the kimchi is unparalleled.Pro-tip: it tastes even better if you come here after climbing Mt. Inari.
Very good price and friendly staff, open late, 10pm.
Walked a distance from Fushimi Inari, and finally saw this Ramen restaurant. Price is affordable, and the taste is acceptable. A filling meal. The Kuro Shoyu ramen was too salty though.
Very good service and taste! Shoyu Ramen and Yaki Gyoza are recommended
Great food and friendly staff, would recommend highly
Very good! The lady who works there put lots of meat and vegetables in the noodles and the service was very quick despite the fact that she is the only one making the food. Very delicious!^_^
Super nice place! Ramen was just 700yen for a generous portion and tasted amazing. We got the shoyu and black shoyu and have no regrets. The hospitality of the cooks really made our experience.
The food was all homemade by the lady and it was very delicious. Definitely a must go if you are in the area. Probably the best ramen I have had for the price.
It’s an amazing little place run by a really nice lady. I had the curry ramen with gyozas (6) and a bowl of gohan (white rice) for 1000y. I couldn’t have eaten more and it was delicious. Really close to Fushimi inari so If you go for the hike maybe you can get a good ramen afterwards. The gyozas didn’t make it in the picture 🙊
Best ramen indeed accompanied with very friendly staff and free iced coffee and lolipops
Amazing ramen. Great service. Very quick food! Even treated the kids with a little toy fox from the vending machine. Made our daughter's trip! Will come back soon!
Unassuming from the outside. Delicious ramen on the inside. Charming little family joint that is easy on the wallet.
Soooooo yammmy!
Lovely food and amazing service.
Delicious ramen and incredible service at a reasonable price!
English Menus! This is a great place, the Niboshi Ramen is excellent and the staff are great! Highly recommended and just next to the train station.
Best ramen I had during my entire month in Japan. This place is a must, I went back three times within my last couple days in kyoto because it was that good
For the price of ¥700 you can get a great bowl of ramen. I specially recommend the kuro shoyu ramen!
One very kind and hardworking lady runs the whole kitchen by herself and makes a beautiful Ramen and very tasty gyoza. Service is impeccable and the food is amazing. For 700 yen you cannot beat this place for value and quality.
